Native Birds that are present in our bush are:  Kereru – Wood Pigeon, Tui, Bellbird, Morepork, Shining Cuckoo, Grey Warbler, Silvereye, Fantail, and other common birds…Also we’ve had sightings of Kiwi and also the NZ Falcon (Karearea) which is also a threatened species and endangered

PROTECT:    Native birds, wildlife and bush from pest animals and invasive weeds.

ENHANCE:    Through enhancement planting and riparian planting.

Taranaki Regional Council – KNE (Key Native Ecosystems)

The three bigger bush blocks have been legally protected with a QEII Covenant since 2005.  The other smaller bush blocks have now also been legally protected with a QEII Covenant in March 2010.

Taranaki Regional Council - Biodiversity Plan for privately owned KNE, Our property has been recognized as a Key Native Ecosystems
with high Biodiversity Values.
